Wall ends Ireland tour with victory

Millwall completed their short tour of Ireland yesterday with victory over Eircom League First Division side Shelbourne but their hosts made them work hard for their win.

Having thrashed Galway United at the weekend, the travelling Lions fans could have been forgiven for thinking another easy victory was on the cards but despite dominating for most of the game they had Shelbourne's Damien Brennan to thank for their winner shortly before half-time when the hapless defender managed to head past his own keeper from around 18-yards.

Manager Kenny Jackett once again used the game as an opportunity to give his players a run out, with Danny Senda completing forty-five minutes of competitive action.

Millwall: Forde (Sullivan, 73mins), Senda (Barron, 46mins), Craig (Beckles, 73mins), Frampton (Dunne, 62mins), Smith, Hackett, Fuseini (Bolder, 46mins), Abdou (Laird, 46mins), Grabban (Grimes, 60mins), Alexander (Morison, 46mins), Harris (Hughes-Mason, 75mins).
