Staines........STOP crying!!!!

MILLWALL fans have been posting tongue-in-cheek comments on a Staines News community website ahead of the FA Cup clash with Staines Town FC next Saturday.

In 24 hours, the story on our Laleham community section had received 59 comments, mostly from Millwall fans poking fun at concerns the match could lead to violence.

The comments follow the front page story in this week's Staines and Ashford News, which reported that Wheatsheaf Lane residents fear the fans will create damage on the day.

Poster Propertrousers said: "It seems there is to be a breakout by 50 hardened Millwall villains on the morning of the game. I genuinely fear for the residents of Staines."

Another poster, Gary Cheesefinger, said: "Be very careful residents of Staines. As you know we have history and will not

stop until every house in the area has had their doors knocked, and when answered our top boys will have run away.

"We will see it as a major defeat if some old girl hasn't called the Old Bill from her bungalow while 40,รณ50 Millwall fans are urinating on her petunias."

But the comments have worried some homeowners.

One concerned resident posted: "I hope none of the above is true. I live in Wheatsheaf Lane and we held a community meeting on Tuesday night to voice our fears and concerns. The police seemed to play down the fear of violence, but having looked at Millwall on YouTube this morning and the comments above, I'm very worried, especially as we have just bought a new car and got new windows."

But a poster calling himself Ali G says: "Don't worry people of Staines. Da Staines Republican Army will protect you from dese gud fa nuffink South eas-siders."

Surrey Police have promised to make a strong presence on the day, and the managers of Staines Town say nothing will go wrong.
